Communication Skills
During my work with the Federal Government I had the opportunity to develop numerous presentations and all were very well received, from basic status reports to my director, to in-depth PowerPoint presentations to my Vice-President. I’ve been told many times that I have a unique and clear way of presenting information graphically and that served very will with the Federal Government, and I believe it can be useful in every position.
Leadership Skills
As the Information Administrator with the Canada School of Public Service I was tasked with managing the directorate’s information. This required training sessions, presentations and recommendations, all of which required my initiative and direct influence. Without my direct leadership, the group would have had a significantly harder time working together, projects wouldn’t have gotten done as quickly, and mis-communication would’ve been much more common. Through my input, the group was able to work efficiently, save time and manage resources effectively.
